| Bear Enrichment Behind the Scenes |
Bears are the ultimate symbol of Canadian wilderness. Do you love Bears? With this program you get an information session with a keeper followed by going into the enclosure and enriching it for the bears. This might include scattering food, putting out scents, putting peanut butter on logs, placing puzzle feeders, or moving "furniture". When you are all done, watch the bears explore their enclosure with all the changes you have made. Please Note: Maximum group size is 10 people. Ages five and older only. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult and may not attend alone. Please wear appropriate footwear, no open-toed shoes, or heels. Dress for the weather - you will be outside.
To register for Zoo programs:Phone (403) 232 – 9300 or visit our Guest Relations Area at the Zoo’s North entrance between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Program fees do not include GST and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Registrations are accepted in the order in which fees are received. Please note that prices and dates are subject to change.PLEASE NOTE: As of January 1, 2011 day-time parking in the North Parking Lot will not be included in your program price. * Please pull a parking ticket upon entrance to the parking lot. * The $7 fee is payable at the Pay-On-Foot stations at the Zoo entrance, the Guest Relations desk, the pay station on the main north plaza or at the exit booth (credit card only at exit) * There is a 30-minute grace period for drop-offs * This parking ticket MUST be used in order for you to exit the parking lot. |
